Suzane "Sue" Charlotte Ogden Clodfelter

Suzane "Sue" Charlotte Ogden Clodfelter, age 84 of Winston-Salem, NC passed away on August 19th. 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center after a period of declining health. She was born on July 16, 1933 in Newark, NJ to the late George Carter Ogden and Ruth Momberger Ogden. Sue attended Women's College in Greensboro (UNCG), while there she met the love of her life "Dave"; they were happily married for 64 years.
Sue had a loving heart and enjoyed volunteering, entertaining and attending church. She taught bridge to many and enjoyed countless afternoons with her bridge clubs. Sue loved her Mallard Lakes neighborhood friends and the special times shared with them. She helped deliver Meals on Wheels for Senior Services and was once very involved in the Girl Scouts as a den and scout leader. Sue enjoyed the theater and directed several children's plays. She loved the beach and spent cherished times with family and friends at Oak Island, NC. Susie will be missed by many.
Mrs. Clodfelter was preceded in death by a son, Thomas William Clodfelter (Sharon). She is survived by her husband James David "Dave" Clodfelter, her daughter Sandra Clodfelter McCabe (Darrell) of Disputanta, VA, a son, Michael David Clodfelter (Phyllis) of Kernersville and two beloved grandsons Ryan Clark Clodfelter and David William Clodfelter of Raleigh; also, many loved nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 25th. in the sanctuary at First Presbyterian Church, 300 N. Cherry Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101 with Rev. Dr. Peter Barnes officiating. There will be a reception for the family and friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Senior Services Inc., 2895 Shorefair Dr., Winston-Salem, NC 27105
