Susan Sheryl Smith

COLFAX-Susan Sheryl Smith, 45, went home to be with The Lord on January 18, 2009. She was born November 27, 1963 in Guilford Co. to the late Ivan Edward and Hettie Farrington Smith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Roberson. Surviving are her husband Tyrone Smith; one daughter, Sonya Smith both of the home; two step-sons, Chad Smith of Walnut Cove and Brad Smith of Winston Salem; three brothers, Caesar Smith and wife Pamela of Bethany, Joe Smith of Colfax, Michael Smith and wife Renea of Stokesdale; two sisters, Sharon Landreth of Stokesdale, Charlene Lamp and husband John of Colfax; and many nieces and nephews. Susan was a beloved wife, mother and sister. She will be greatly missed A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Thursday, January 22, 2009 at Hayworth Miller Funeral Home Kernersville Chapel with the Rev. Cordell McCollum officiating. Burial will follow in Sandy Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 2:00 pm Thursday, January 22, 2009 prior to the service at the funeral home.
