Susan Dorsett Mattocks

Mrs. Susan Dorsett Mattocks 60, of Winston-Salem, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at her home. Mrs. Mattocks was born November 16, 1948 in Forsyth County, a daughter of the late Harry R. Dorset and the late Edna Hudspeth Dorsett. As a young lady, she spent much time at the Vinni Frederick Academy of Dance Arts and attended the Governor's School of Ballet. She was a graduate of Reynolds High School and worked various jobs in Winston-Salem. She is survived by her daughter, Emily Grey Mattocks of Atlanta; son, Noland R. Mattocks, III of Bermuda Run, former daughter-in-law, Mary Marshall Mattocks, and granddaughter, Harris Gray Mattocks of Greenville, NC A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Forsyth Memorial Park with Rev. Gary Byrum officiating. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
