Susan Elliott

Ms. Susan Ledford Elliott, 68, passed away at home on November 8, 2022. Susan was born on February 12, 1954, to Harold Ledford, Sr and Alta Mae Welch Ledford in Forsyth County. Susan was a gifted singer who loved to entertain. Her career in country music began early in life and really took off when she moved to the beach. She sang alongside Alabama, Randy Travis, and numerous other country legends. When not entertaining, she enjoyed fishing and cooking. In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Wayne Elliott. Surviving are her son, Spencer Chase Elliott (Amanda); brother, Harold Ledford (Andrea); and a special friend, Gayle Peeples. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, November 14, 2022, at Parklawn Memorial Park with Rev. Francis Smith officiating.
