Mrs. Susan Collins, 63, of Winston-Salem entered the joy of our Lord on Monday, October 29, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born February 2, 1949 in Forsyth County, the daughter of the late, Rufus Elmer and Virginia Anders Hicks. Mrs. Collins was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She was employed by ITW Texwipe. She enjoyed gospel and country music, baking and cooking. Survivors include her husband, Richard W. Collins of the home; one son, Marty Lee Collins and wife, Teresa and one grandson, Marcus Tyler Collins of Winston-Salem; four sisters, Judy Miller and husband, Clay of Walkertown, Phyllis Caudle of Rural Hall, Patricia Jones of King and Linda Ward of Arcadia; and one special sister-in-law, Betty Collins of Winston-Salem. The funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Gary Styers officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. The family would like to say a special thanks to all those at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home for their dedication and unparalled comfort during her stay. She would also like to thank all her fellow employees, family, church and friends for all their prayers and support.
