Sue Ellen Huff Macy

Kernersville - Sue Ellen Huff Macy, 62, passed away peacefully at Forsyth Medical Center February 26th, 2011 after a courageous six year battle with cancer. Her strength and grace during her illness will forever be an inspiration to her family and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, John B. Huff, Sr. and Avahlea Dwiggins Huff. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 1st, at 1:00 PM at Pine Grove United Methodist Church, burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 on Monday, February 28th, 2011 and at all other times at the home. Left to cherish her memory, her loving husband, James, sons Daniel (Tammy) and son, David (Carrie). Her pride and joy were her five grandchildren, Dylan, Dawson, Drew, Nolan and Elena. Surviving Mrs. Macy are two sisters, Betty H. Taylor (Jerry); Sylvia H. Groce (George) and one brother John B. Huff, Jr. (Carol) in addition several special nieces and nephews and her aunt-Evelyn H. Smith. Sue loved to travel on the back of her husband's motorcycle, camping along the way and was retired from the Veteran's Administration and later worked as a CNA at Bradford Village East in Kernersville. Sue was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church. The family would like to thank Dr. Chrysson, PA's Jennifer and Laura and their staff. They would also like to thank the staff of the 9th floor West Oncology unit at Forsyth Medical Center for their exceptional care and kindness during the hospital stay.
