Sue Goodman Little

Winston Salem - Sue Goodman Little, 77, departed her earthly home to start her heavenly journey, surrounded by her family, friends and neighbors late Thursday afternoon, December 15, 2011. Mom will be greatly missed by the ones left here on earth to grieve, but will be greatly welcome in her new heavenly home. She was born March 25, 1934 in Sparta, NC to the late Newton Glen and Grace Wilcox Goodman. Sue was a charter member of Manna Baptist Church. She was a caring and nurturing mom not only did she raise her own three children, but had a hand in keeping her grandchildren and approximately 76 other children. Mom's home was always open to everyone. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Roy Mack Little, Sr. and her son, Robert Lee Little. Surviving are her daughter, Janet Eaton of Winston Salem; two sons, Roy ""Mack"" Little, Jr., and wife, Gracie of Winston Salem, Donnie Ray Little, Sr., and fiancé, Tamy of Tobaccoville; grandchildren, Mack Little,III and wife, Pam, Donnie Ray Little, Jr. and wife, Danielle, and Amy Nicole Little; two great-grandchildren, Jackson Roy Little and Matthew Arnold; one Great-God Child, Brandon Hall; one sister, Winnie Bowers; four brothers, Glenn Goodman, Dean Goodman, Garrnett Goodman, and N.G. Goodman. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Monday, December 19, 2011 at Manna Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Freeman and Rev. Robert Motsinger officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00pm Sunday, December 18, 2011 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel. Memorials may be directed to Manna Baptist Church, 4368 Stokesdale Ave., Winston Salem, NC 27101 or Hospice and Palliative CareCenter, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC 27103.
