Stuart graduated from Mount Tabor High School, and ventured to the mountains to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, with a History minor. Stuart loved the mountains, fresh air, cold, snow and all his time in Boone. He decided to follow his passion of baking and being in the food service industry. His Father taught him baking from a young age and Stuart was a talented baker. His specialties were cheesecakes, brownies, sugar cookies and whoopi pies. Stuart worked at Jimmy Johns in Boone, The Mustard Seed in Eden and the Carving Board in Winston-Salem. He loved his time at the Mustard Seed and Carving Board. Music was huge part of his life. He loved following his favorite bands and went to many shows. He collected tapes and had a tremendous vinyl record collection. Stuart had many tattoos in the American Traditional design style. Artists from all over the United States did work on him, but His favorites were local Winston-Salem artists who had become friends over the years. Stuart had a goal to travel to all 50 states but only made it to 19 before he became too ill to travel. He also traveled internationally to Costa Rico, Belize, France and England with friends from church and school. Stuart attended many Broadway shows in NYC.
