Steven "Steve" Willard

Steven “Steve” Wayne Willard, 60 went home to be with the lord at his residence on April 28, 2022. He was born on December 5, 1961, in Forsyth County to Bobby and Lorene Willard. He graduated from Gospel Light Christian School in 1980. He worked in sales and management for various furniture companies and owned a framing shop called Frameworks in Walkertown. He ended his career working for Boyles furniture. Steve was an avid Tar Heel fan through and through. He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church in Rural Hall and loved the Lord and his family passionately. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 37 years, Debbie Willard; his son, Matthew Willard; brother, Greg Willard; sister, Sharon Hutchins (husband, Chris); and eight nieces and nephews, Alec, Ashlyn (husband, Jaron), Alden, Brooklynn, Paisley, Stephanie (husband, Jesse), Rex (wife, Michelle), and Meghan.

A funeral service for Steve will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at Freedom Baptist Church in Rural Hall with Pastor Jon White, Pastor Clint Fredericks, and Pastor Steve Roberson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown with Rev. Frank Shumate officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, May 2, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. Memorials be made to Trellis Supportive Care in Steve’s name at 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
