Steven Reece Lowery

Mr. Steven Reece Lowery, 73, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022. He was born in Forsyth County on May 9, 1948 to Raymond F. Lowery and Louise S. Lowery. Steven retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. He loved the ocean and boat riding. Fishing was his life. He was “a friend of Bill W’s” and had just earned his 23-year chip. Steven enjoyed giving nicknames to everyone and he never knew a stranger. He was the most loving, giving, thoughtful, and caring person. He thoroughly loved life, but more than anything, he loved his family dearly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Franklin Lowery, Betty Lowery, and Ronnie Lowery. Surviving family includes his daughters, Tracie and Timmie Lowery; grandchildren, Casie Haag (Braden) and Haylie Workman; great-grandchildren, Gavin Johnson and Bella Haag; niece, Lisa Keasler (Mickey); and longtime friend, Becky Brewer. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek. A memorial service will follow the visitation at the funeral home.
