Mr. Steve Allen Hall, 62, of Winston Salem, North Carolina, passed away with his family and friends by his side on April 6, 2023. Steve was born on June 28, 1960, in Columbia, South Carolina. Steve was a caring and supportive husband to Tamra and a loving father to Stephanie, Heather, and Harrison.

    Steve graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, in Daytona Beach, Florida in 1983. He pursued his love of aviation serving in the United States Army as a helicopter pilot. He spent the remaining of his flying career at American Airlines where he retired in 2011 as a Captain. His logbooks contained nearly 25,000 hours of flight time.  After retiring from flying, he decided to bring his life experiences into the classroom as an Earth Science High School Teacher. Steve also enjoyed traveling and fishing, watching Saturday morning cartoons and rainy days.

     Steve was proceeded in death by his mother and father, Minnie Lee and Wilbur Hall.  He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Tamra;  his two daughters, Stephanie Smith (Rayford) and Heather Murrah (Darren) and his one son, Harrison Hall; his five grandchildren, Brayson (19), Avery (16), Kinlee (10), Everly (4) and Dalton (expected May 2023); his brother, Marvin Hall; his sister, Marie Orr (Tommy); and many nieces and nephews.  He also leaves behind his beloved Black Labrador Retriever, Rudder.

Services will be private at the request of the family.
