Stephen Lloyd Reid

Mr. Stephen Lloyd Reid, 54, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 16, 2011. He was born December 1, 1957 in Birmingham, AL to Lloyd Woodrow ""Buck"" Reid and Debra Watkins Reid. Mr. Reid was a loving husband, father, step-father, grandfather, brother and friend. He worked hard all of his life and enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and all of his ""Man Toys"". Mr. Reid was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Woodrow ""Buck"" Reid. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Sandra Shaw Reid of the home, two daughters, Stephanie Reid Newsome and Crystal Dawn Reid both of Pinnacle, his mother, Debra Watkins Reid of Greensboro, a step-daughter, April Lunsford of King, two step-sons, Robert Johnson Jr. (Sherry) of Winston-Salem and Steven Holston (Penny) of Westfield, 13 grandchildren, two sisters, Donna Reid and Sherry Reid both of Greensboro and a brother, David Reid of Madison. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 noon Friday, October 21, 2011 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Bro. Joe Tise officiating. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens in Mt. Airy. The family will receive friends from 7-9 this evening Thursday, October 20, 2011. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
