Stephen Smith

Stephen Dale Smith, 69, passed away on April 23, 2021. He was born on December 2, 1951 to the late Dale and Katherine Smith in Hamilton, Ohio. Following graduation from Taft High School in Hamilton, Ohio, Steve went on to Miami University of Oxford, Ohio where he earned the degree of Bachelor of Science in Education. He went on from there to attend Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri and graduated with the degree of Master of Science. Steve was an Eagle Scout; he was on American Society of Safety Engineers; and was also on Who’s Who in America. He worked for GCC (Pepsi Bottling Co.), Federal Express, and the City of Winston-Salem. Steve volunteered for Crisis Control Ministry, Wyndham Golf Championship, and Meals on Wheels for Senior Services. Steve was an active member of Moose Lodge of Winston-Salem. He loved dancing, camping, golfing, and talking to people. He was a loving father. Steve is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sabrina G. Smith; daughter, Corita Kay Smith; sister, Linda Whitaker; nephew, Justin Wurth; and niece, Erin Costigan. A private memorial service will be held.
