Stephen Becher

Kernersville – Stephen John Becher, 67, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 1, 1955, in Knox County, IN to the late Mildred Louise and Francis Amelian Becher. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Stephen was a tireless worker, some would say, a workaholic, but he was dedicated to his job. He had hobbies outside of work that he loved, like being an avid sports fan and tubing down the Dan River with family. Stephen really loved being outdoors and any activity related to fishing, hunting, and his favorite, camping. He was considered an “RVer” and loved it. Out of everything Stephen did in his life, his favorite thing was being a papaw. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

In addition to his parents, Stephen was preceded by his loving soulmate of 42 years, Michelle Renee Becher.

Surviving are his three daughters, Lindsay Becher, Allison (Danny) Larrimore, and Emily (Rashid) West, his four grandchildren, Dalin, Peyton, Brielle, and Beckham, his three sisters, Kathy, Margie, and Carol, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM, Friday, April 15th, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
