Stanley Grey Carwile

KERNERSVILLE-Stanley Grey Carwile, 81, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born September 30, 1929 in Kentucky to the late Robert and Nora Lewis Carwile.

Stanley retired after many years of service with Bell Management, and was a United States Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jerry Carwile.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Crouse Carwile of the home; three sons, Edward Carwile and wife, Cindy of FL, David Carwile and wife, Cid of Winston Salem, and Richard Carwile and wife, Lisa of FL; one daughter, Vicky Blackburn and husband, Jerry of Colfax; nine granddaughters; and seven great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 3:30 pm Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Lawrence Gossett, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
