Mr. Sidney Berlin Caldwell, 87, of Winston-Salem passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born April 20, 1922 in Craig County, Virginia to Bert Conward and Mary Etta Crawford Caldwell. Mr. Caldwell was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was retired from Piedmont Airlines after 23 years of service. We were blessed with a wonderful life. We loved together, laughed together and prayed together. Now you stroll through heaven where time is no more. You are safe in the arms of God. The testimonial life you have lived is now greatly rewarded. Surviving are his wife, Helen Beamer Caldwell of the home; a daughter, Gail C. Allen of Winston-Salem; a son, Neil Caldwell and wife, Connie of Kernersville; and a granddaughter, Brittany. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. Guy Hipp officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
