Shirley Ann James

Shirley Ann James, 81, of Winston-Salem passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022. She was born in Forsyth County on August 10, 1940 to John James and Lois Roberson James. Shirley was a faithful member of Hopewell Moravian Church, where she sang in the choir. She loved her church very much and would never miss a service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Grady James and sister, Margaret Overby. Surviving family includes her siblings, Virginia Barber, John (Linda) James, Nancy Whitt, and Bobby (Denise) James; numerous nieces and nephews; and special niece and nephew, Emma and Dakota. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Hopewell Moravian Church with Minister Danny McBride officiating.
