Shirley Sides Truett

Mrs. Shirley Sides Truett, 72, of Lewisville, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born March 20, 1938 in Forsyth County to the late Perry Myers Sides and Paul David Sides. Mrs. Truett attended Faith Missionary Alliance. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Milton, Wilburn and Douglas Sides and one sister, Pauline Sides Nifong. Surviving are her husband of 52 years, James N. Truett; one son, Lane N. Truett, three brothers, Roscoe Sides (Catherine) of Winston-Salem, Homer Sides (Bonnie) of Sparta and Bruner Sides (Linda) of Sparta and one sister, Peggy S. Smith (Tommy) of Winston-Salem; one brother-in-law, Bobby R. Truett (Mallie) and a host of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Michael Gates officiating. Burial will follow in the Friedberg Moravian Church Graveyard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
