Shirley Ann Sweet

Shirley Ann Sweet, 82, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, in Boonville, North Carolina. 

Shirley was born on May 30, 1942, in Forsyth County to the late James and Ina Bell Williams.

Along with her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her son, Roger Gray Taylor; grandson, Jay; and siblings, Donald Williams, Jerry Williams, Robert Williams, Jimmy Williams, Delores Sweet, and Eddie Williams.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Robert “Bobby” Sweet; son, Terry Ray Taylor; daughters, Kathy Doss (Mitchell) and Melissa Carrion (Billy); grandchildren, Hannah Humphrey (Darrell), Tiffany Thompson (Kevin), Magan Allen (Travis), Jeremy Doss, and Jesse Godsey; and great-grandchildren, Whyitt, Lakin, Liliana, Waylin, Kevin, Kaylee, Konnor, Karson, Lex; her beloved cats, Boots and Cheeto; and many extended family and friends. 

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, officiated by Pastor Ken Furches. A burial will immediately follow the service at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mountain View Hospice, PO Box 325, Dobson, NC 27017.
