Shirley Ann Roan

Mrs. Shirley Ann Roan, 86, passed away at her home on Sunday December 3, 2023. She was born on January 22, 1937, to the late Robert Glenn Garris and Thelma Baugess Garris in Forsyth County, NC.  

Shirley retired from First Federal Savings and Loans of Winston-Salem after working for many years in the Insurance Department.  

She is survived by her loving husband of almost 50 years, Richard Roan; her son, Todd Edwards; three stepdaughters, Debbora “Debbie” (Dennis) Kilmer of Fort Worth, TX, Vickie (Gary) Hall of Lewisville, NC, and Julie (Tom) Raif of New Bern, NC; eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Peace Haven Baptist Church with Pastor Nathan Parrish officiating.
