Shirley Stout Baker Morrison

Whitsett - Shirley Stout Baker Morrison, 82, went to be with the Lord Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Wesley Long Community Hospital. Shirley was born on June 22, 1934 in Caldwell County to Raleigh Roscoe and Nellie Lovings Stout. Shirley worked for the Childcare Facility at Tulane Medical Center.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Dale Baker; and two sisters, Benita Burtner, and Carolyn King.
Surviving are her husband, George Henry Morrison; two sons, Clyde Steven Baker, and James Dean Baker (Laurie); three daughters, Rachel Elaine Baker (Billy Ray), Jamie Jean Williams (Roger), and Donna Lynn Whitt; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert ""Bobby"" Mark Stout, and Lawson ""Butch"" Daniel Stout (Carol); 4 sisters, Nancy Bentley (William), Judith Stout, Linda Romano, and Sharon Wright.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 24, 2017 at Groometown Baptist Church in Greensboro with Rev. Greg King officating. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Salisbury National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 23, at Groometown Baptist Church.
