Shirley Rae Bussard Miller

Shirley (Rae) Bussard Miller, 79, of Winston-Salem, died suddenly Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center during an illness. She was born in Pennsylvania on January 17, 1933. Shirley enjoyed reading, puzzles, Jeopardy, travel, and trips to Cherokee. She always said, ""I want pictures!"" She was a frequent donor to charities, and regularly donated her blood to the American Red Cross. She is survived by her son, David Miller, and his wife, Kim, of Lewisville, NC; daughter, Gail Stafford, and her husband, Phil, of McKinney, TX; son, Jonathan Miller, and his wife, Hillary, of Seattle, WA; four grandchildren, Olivia Miller, Lauren Stafford, Kaitlin Stafford, and Hannah Stafford; and one sister, Kate Bernhoff, of Huntington Beach, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Carl Miller, Jr.; daughter, Carla Sue Miller; parents, Howard and Olive Bussard; brothers, Paul and Howard(Buzz) Bussard; and sisters, Vivian Karstetter, Jayne Hofmann, and Ruth Bussard. A Memorial Gathering will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, at her home at 3520 Sally Kirk Road in Winston-Salem.
