Shirley Kahl

Shirley I. Kahl, 76, went home to be with the Lord on June 23, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Shirley loved bringing her family together through food, fun, and games. She enjoyed planting flowers and watching hummingbirds every year. Her greatest love and joy were her 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by daughter, Trisha Kahl, parents Glenn & Juanita “Sweetie” Bumgardner, and brothers Frank and Billy Bumgardner.

To carry on her memory is her husband of 59 years, Walter Kahl, daughters Tina (Steve) Scouten, and Tracy (Dean) Tsiolkas, son Timothy (Kimberly) Kahl, special daughters, Shanna Stewart and Jennifer (Cody) Dennis, bonus daughter Cheryl Parker, and close friends Butch and Sandy Remington.

A special thanks to The Conquerors Sunday School class at Pinedale Christian Church where she was a long-standing member, and to Kendall, Shane, Jamie, and Tammy of Hospice of Davidson County.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00am, Friday, July 1, 2022 at Pinedale Christian Church in Winston-Salem, NC. Family will receive friends at 10:00am prior to the service.
