Shirley Crews

Mr. Shirley Ray Crews (83) passed away July 5th, 2022, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born on November 11, 1938, to the late John Crews and Betty Merritt Crews. Shirley was a member and deacon at Red Bank Missionary Church and loved his church family. He retired from RJ Reynolds after many years of service. Shirley enjoyed hunting and fishing and traveling to the beach. He also loved to watch westerns on TV. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, Shirley was preceded in death by one brother, Wilburn Crews; brother-in-law, Clyde Smith. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Juanita Crews; four children, Denise Craven (Greg), Susan Crews, Timothy Crews, and Harold Crews; one grandchild, Jarret Floyd (Lindsey); three great-grandchildren, Lily, Levi and Luke Floyd; four siblings, Virginia Smith, Betty Parrish, Howard Crews, Joseph Crews (Pattie), and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday, July 7th, 2022, at Red Bank Missionary Baptist Church in Germanton with Paster Gary Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
