Shirley Ann Ferrell Collier

Mrs. Shirley Ann Collier, 68, of Clemmons went to be with the Lord July 13, 2008, after an extended illness. Mrs. Collier was born in Wilson County to the late Ressie and Hazel Head Ferrell on June 28, 1940. She was a longtime member of Temple Baptist Church in Lewisville and she enjoyed teaching Sunday school for 43 years. Mrs. Collier was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed reading her Bible daily. She is survived by her loving husband Don Collier; two sons Mike Collier and wife Joanna and Steve Collier and wife Lori; a daughter Kathryn Collier; four grandchildren Jessica, Megan , Major, and Kaylanmarie; two great grandchildren Maggie and Molly; and two sisters Edith Brock and Alla Mae Whitehead. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday July 16, 2008 at Temple Baptist Church in Lewisville with Dr. Bud Owen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8pm at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel.
