Shirley Anas

Walkertown – Mrs. Shirley Ann Kiger Anas, 74, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at her residence. She was born on December 28, 1946 in Moore County, NC to David Monroe and Bessie Goins Kiger. Shirley was a member of Morris Chapel United Methodist Church in Walkertown. She retired from Sara Lee after almost 20 years of faithful service. When she was able to, Shirley loved to sew. She enjoyed traveling and her favorite place was the beach. Family was so important to Shirley. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Williams, Jr; her daughter, Vivian Williams; and her dog, GoGo. She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Chuck Anas; three children, Bronna Gesler (Rich), Joey Williams (Judi), and Sherry Doub (Allen); four stepchildren, Mark Bailey, Jennifer Johnson (Don), Michael Anas, and Jillian Kiger; 10 grandchildren, Taylor Williams, Amanda Depablos, Joey Williams, Jr., Jenna Page, Jace Williams, Katelyn King, Dakota Gesler, Victoria Hobson, Thomas Doub,  and Tanner Doub; 5 step grandchildren, Hannah Kiger, Shane Kiger, Lauren Johnson, Claire Johnson, and Ashley Bailey; 10 great grandchildren, Autumn Rae, Dylan, Ayla Faye, Calvin, Julia, Stella, Colton, Troy, Levi, Lucy-Ann; one step grandchild, Elena; three siblings, Jean Collins, Judy Watson, and Tim Kiger; and her dog, Ginger.

A funeral service for Shirley will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Morris Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor Jeff Coppley and Samantha Wesley officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care at 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27284.
