Sherry Adams Royal

Sherry Adams Royal, 66, peacefully passed away at 10:50 am on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. Sherry was born on June 3, 1958, in Norfolk, VA to her wonderful and loving parents, Ross and Jean Adams. Sherry was a devoted and exceptional wife, daughter, mom, and grandmother. Sherry was a graduate of North Forsyth High School in 1976 and also pursued a bachelor’s degree from Catawba College where she studied Early Education. Sherry’s true calling was the medical profession where she served those in need following in her mother’s footsteps. Sherry’s hobbies included reading and a love for the beach. Surviving Sherry are her parents, Ross and Jean Adams; her husband, William “Danny” Royal of 34 years; her son, Andrew “Drew” Cassidy and wife Ella Cassidy; her daughter, Megan Branstetter and husband Jordan Branstetter. Sherry had five grandchildren including McKenzie, Aidan, and Bella-Rose Cassidy as well as Brooks and Bennett Branstetter. Sherry’s pride and joy were her kids and grandkids. A funeral service will be held at Temple Baptist Church in Lewisville, NC where Pastor Josh Boles and Reverend Andy Lambert will be officiating the service. Visitation for Sherry and her family will begin at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, followed by the funeral service at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow the service located in the church cemetery. Donations can be made in honor of Sherry at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Lewisville, NC who is serving the family for Mrs. Sherry Royal.
