Mrs. Sherrie Constance Cain Murray, 67, of Lexington died Thursday, December 27, 2012 at her home. She was born July 19, 1945 in Davidson County, the daughter of the late, Charles and Helen Page Lanning Cain. Mrs. Murray was a member of Goldfloss Baptist Chapel in Winston-Salem. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Murray and a grandson, Dustin Murray. Survivors include three sons, Charles Murray and girlfriend, Tammy London of the home; Rick Murray and wife, Sandra and Thomas Murray and wife, Janie of Winston-Salem; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; one step daughter, Glenda Murray; two sisters, Polly Lowery of OH and Shelia Garcia of CA; many nieces and nephews; and a special nephew, David Lanning, and special friends Bob and Della Ontis. The funeral service will be conducted Monday at 1:00 PM at Goldfloss Baptist Church with Rev. John Sealey officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
