Shelby Doub

Mr. Shelby “Sheb” Wilburn Doub, age 84 of Olin, NC passed away Friday, January 13, 2023 at the Gordon Hospice Home in Statesville.  He was born October 26, 1938 in Forsyth County to the late William Grady Doub and Mattie Mae Wagoner Doub.  He is preceded in death by his son, Shelby Wilburn Doub, Jr. and one daughter, Sandra Denise Doub, two brothers, Carlyle and Albert Doub and two sisters, Susie Adams and Nannie Blakenship.  He is survived by his wife, Doris C. Doub of the home; one son, Mike Doub of Lexington; one daughter, Shelley Doub (Matt) of Yadkinville; one granddaughter, Taylor Doub (Josh); two brothers, George and Terry Doub and two sisters, Mildred Henderson and Lorene Lashley.  A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, January 16, 2023 at Lewisville United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Monday at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gordon Hospice House, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
