Ms. Shawn Fletcher Lankford, 42; a precious gift from God and her mother's best friend, went to be with her Heavenly Father Monday morning, May 11, 2009 at her home in King. Shawn was born April 20, 1967 in Forsyth County to Gerry Eugene and Jeri Gray Terrell Fletcher. Shawn graduated from South Stokes High School in 1985; she was employed with Republic Mortgage Insurance Company in Winston-Salem and was of the Baptist faith. Shawn was preceded in death by one brother; Gerry Eugene Fletcher, Jr. her maternal grandparents; Sidney E. Terrell and Virginia Gray Wall and paternal grandparents; James Fletcher and Evelyn Reed. Surviving is one daughter: Macy Celeste` Lankford of King. Mother: Jeri Seivers of King and father: Gerry E. Fletcher of Winston-Salem. Two brothers: Shane E. Fletcher of Dobson and Shad G. Fletcher of King. Two nieces: McKinzie Lynn Fletcher and Jessica Elaine Vestal. Three nephews; Clinton Gray Fletcher, Tyler Blevins, Zachary Vestal other nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon May 14, 2009 at 4:00 P.M. at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Rural Hall by Rev. Dan Salmon and Pastor Randall Smith with burial to follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening May 13th from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
