Sharon Denise Poindexter

POINDEXTER Rural Hall - Ms. Sharon Denise ""Neicey"" Poindexter, 54, passed away Friday, August 28, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born June 25, 1955 in Forsyth County to the late Joseph Hill and Ruth Spainhour Poindexter. Ms. Poindexter was a member of Germanton Baptist Church where she had attended her entire life. She worked with Pilot Freight for 16 years and with Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools for 17 years. In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her aunt, Louise Poindexter. Surviving are her sister, Beverly Boggs and husband Olin of Germanton; two brothers, Scott Poindexter and wife, Sherri of Germanton, and Brian Poindexter and wife, Dedra of Tobaccoville; seven nieces and nephews, Trace Boggs, Heather Poindexter, Joseph Poindexter, Sloane Poindexter, Josie Poindexter, Dalton Poindexter, and Halee Boggs; and one great-niece, Nadia Boggs. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 30 at Germanton Baptist Church with the Rev. Justin Jones and the Rev. Robert Lattimore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Saturday, August 29 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Germanton Baptist Church, Children's Sunday School Fund, 6810 S. Germanton Road, Germanton, NC 27019.
