Sharon Hurst

Mrs. Sharon Mitchell Hurst, 74, of Walkertown passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Sharon was born in Danville Virginia to the late Edward Gilmer Mitchell and Lois Walker Mitchell on September 26, 1947.

Sharon was a loving mother to her 4 boys, a dedicated wife, a proud grandmother to all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was an accomplished owner operator for Fedex Custom Critical.  She was a devoted Christian who always put others first.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers. Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Hurst “Bud”; sons, Troy Hurst (Rhonda), Glenn Hurst (Rebecca), Marshall See (Angela), Mitchell See (Michelle); nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; brother, William Mitchell; many cousins. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday September 27, 2022, at Gospel Light Baptist Church with Pastor Frank Shumate and Pastor Matt Morrison officiating.
