Shari Leigh Taylor, 61, passed away peacefully at Clemmons Village I on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, and is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She was a native of Forsyth County and graduated from Parkland High School in 1979. Her previous employers included Western Electric and Novant Health.
Shari was preceded in death by her father, John S. Taylor and mother, Anne L. Taylor. She is survived by her brothers, Tony S. Taylor (Donna) of Charlotte, John K. Taylor (Elizabeth) of East Bend and Jason D. Taylor (Kristen) of Charlotte, as well as her nephew, niece and several cousins.
Shari loved being with her entire family and enjoyed many good times with her cousins and extended family. She was gifted with a beautiful voice and loved to sing at church and family get togethers. Shari was also a member of Adoration, a ladies singing group based at her church, First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Winston Salem. She also enjoyed baking and made delicious pound cakes to give to her friends and co-workers. Shari kept her family and friends entertained with her sharp wit and great sense of humor. Like her mother and father, she especially enjoyed the beach and would take any opportunity to travel to the NC coast.
The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff of Clemmons Village I for their kind and compassionate care for Shari.
A graveside service conducted by the Reverend Tim Wolfe will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 6, 2023, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 3250 High Point Road, Winston-Salem, NC.
Memorials may be made to First Pentecostal Holiness Church, PO Box 5252, Winston Salem, NC 27113-5252.
