Shanna Michelle Iwaniec Dull, 54, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born on January 13, 1969, to Jack Iwaniec and the late Melba Valentine Iwaniec. Shanna was a kindhearted woman. Her motto was “Believe”. She would give the shirt off her back to those in need and never hesitated to help others. She was known for her love of football, especially Tom Brady (No matter what team he played for). Shanna worked in law enforcement and communications, serving in the community she loved. She played softball for most of her early life and enjoyed watching gameshows and Hallmark movies. Most of all, her love for her family trumped all, including her dogs Samson and Summer, as well as grand-dogs, Cooper, and Koda. Shanna will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
In addition to her mother, Shanna is preceded in death by her sister, Kimberly Iwaniec.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Charles “Charlie” William Dull; father, Jack Iwaniec; two children, Tyler Johnson (Catherine) and Staci Johnson; brother, Shane Iwaniec (Sarah); aunt, Patricia Culpepper; Niece and Nephew, Syan and Serra; and several special cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Jeff Coppley and Pastor Brian King officiating. A burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds hospice home at 101 Hospice Ln, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
