Seth Owen Ring

Mr. Seth Owen Ring, 17, of Mocksville, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 30, 2016, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center as a result of an automobile accident. Mr. Ring was born in Forsyth County, NC on February 5, 1998, to Johnny Lynn Ring and Amy Barker Ring. Seth attended Davie High School. Seth's passion in life was bull riding. He was known to everyone on the bull riding circuit as the ""ringo kid."" He rode cutting horses and was an outstanding horseman. He also enjoyed diesel trucks and shared that with his friends who together, formed the backwoods struttin club. Mr. Ring was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Roger Barker and paternal grandparents, Owen Wayne Ring and Ruby Smith Ring. In addition to his parents, Seth is survived by two sisters, Amber Gregory (Joe) and Heather Monette; maternal grandmother, Nancy Barker; and numerous other loving relatives and friends. A celebration of Seth's life will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, February 4, 2016, at Lone Hickory Arena in Yadkinville, NC. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the North Carolina High School Rodeo Association, 1285 Hall Rd., Mount Ulla, NC 28125. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the Ring family.
