Scott Edward Lane

Scott Edward Lane 59, Morganton passed away peacefully at home following a period of declining health.

Scott was born in Burke County to the late Bill E. Lane of Morganton, and the late Shirley Brittain of Morganton. He worked at Drexel Heritage for 25 years.  He loved playing music, hunting and fishing.  He was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Morganton.  He is survived by his wife Rita Lane of the home, his daughter Christy Lane Sprouse and husband Victor of Morganton, his son Michael Lane of the home. His sweet furbaby Smoki that he loved so much.  He also has a brother Howard Morgan and wife Claudia of Morganton, a sister Jayne Stewart of Morganton.  He has four brother-in-laws, all of Morganton and he loved his sweet mother-in-law, Joyce Maney of Morganton, number of nieces and nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at Grace Baptist Church of Morganton at 11:00 AM on March 13, 2021.
