Mrs. Sarah Marie Hiatt Yates, 33, quietly passed away Friday, May 26, 2023, at her parents’ home in the company of her loving husband. Sarah was born December 22, 1989, to Dr. Paul Kevin Hiatt and Mrs. Christina Beth Smith Hiatt. In addition to her parents, Sarah is survived by her loving husband, Ammaron Joshua Yates; three beautiful children: Evelyn Christina Yates, Thomas Grenfell Yates, and Emma Marie Yates; seven siblings: Kevin Hiatt (Katie), Amy Klaus (Robert), Jason Hiatt, Andrew Hiatt (Kaeli), Ashley Soto (Joshua), Jared Hiatt, and Tyler Hiatt; and 56 nieces and nephews. Sarah was born third of eight children and grew up in Asheboro, NC where the family loved the zoo and all outdoor adventures. Sarah was a creative sister and could entertain little ones for hours at a time. Growing up she played the piano and flute, and enjoyed gymnastics, tennis, and track. Her academic study was education and even though she taught in the school system for a time, her ultimate goal was to have a family of her own and be a joyful mother of children! She was blessed to marry her best friend in 2013 and together they have three beautiful children. She spent her days and nights loving, teaching, cheering, and inspiring her little ones. First and foremost, Sarah loved the Lord and taught her children that there is peace in Christ. This simple truth, and her prayers and love of and trust in God carried her through her devastating illness. Now she is our eternal angel! We can and will be better, because of her. Until we meet again, dear joyful mother, devoted spouse, grateful daughter, forever sister and thoughtful friend! A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 1st at The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints in Clemmons, NC with Bishop Kevin Griffin conducting. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 31st at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel.
