Mrs. Sarah Pate Wilson, 86, passed away on June 23, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on December 14, 1929 in Wayne County to Ezra Speicher and Mary Gardner Pate. She was a member of the Winston-Salem Friends Meeting where she enjoyed singing in the choir and where she was very active until her declining health wouldn't allow it anymore. She taught at Clemmons Elementary for 20 plus years and then retired. Foremost and most important, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, however to her, God was the most important thing in her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bob Wilson; her son, Robert; two sisters, Mary Edgerton and Joyce Herring. Sarah is survived by two daughters, Marie Wood and husband Steve of Cary; Jane Bullin and husband Larry of Clemmons; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2016 at Winston-Salem Friends Meeting with Philip Raines officiating. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:45 - 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Winston-Salem Friends Meeting, 3151 Reynolda Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27106 or the Charity of One's Choice.
