Sarah Alice Holder Teague

Sarah Alice Holder Teague, 91, died Sunday,December 11, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center after a short illness. She was born March 16, 1920 to Wilmoth Rebecca Dalton Holder & Simeon Walter Holder of Winston-Salem, NC. She lived her early life in the Waughtown community. She was a lifetime member of Waughtown Baptist Church. She attended Salem College, and later worked briefly at RJ Reynolds. She married her lifetime ""sweetheart"" James Woodrow Teague who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a nephew, Aiden Blair. Surviving are one brother in law, Sidney Teague and wife Margie of Winston-Salem; nephew, Sidney Teague, Jr. and wife Camilla of Lewisville and their children; a niece, Susan Mitchell and husband Dave of Advance and their children; niece, Bonnie Laughlin and husband Martin of Port Richey, FL. Dr. Walter Dalton Holder, Jr. & wife, Frances of Seattle, Washington & daughters and grandchildren. Sharyn Holder Carwile & husband, Al of Greensboro, NC. Alice Holder Tate & husband, Tom of Winston-Salem, NC & sons. She is also survived by a God daughter, Mary Laura Austin and a longtime friend and neighbor, Ms. Kiki Teague. Mrs. Teague also had many dear & special friends including her childhood & lifelong friend Mrs. Lessie Dunn. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Waughtown Cemetery. Following the service, family & friends are invited to gather at her home.
