Sarah Spaugh

Mrs. Sarah Mock Spaugh, 87, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022 at her home.  She was born in Forsyth County on May 30, 1934 to the late Margaret Fulton Mock and Jacob Pierce Mock.  She was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church.  Mrs. Spaugh was a homemaker and a farmer’s wife.  She enjoyed helping Bruce on the farm, cooking, and entering food contests at various fairs and events.  She loved her grandchildren and in her later years, her great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Spaugh was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Floyd Mock and her husband, Bruce Albert Spaugh.  Surviving is a son, David Spaugh (Jayne); daughter, Lisa Spaugh Pilcher (Reggie); five grandchildren, Adam Pilcher (Lauren), Jacob Spaugh (Brooke), Pearl Pilcher, Emily Blodinger (Jake), and Kalli Hicks (Chase); four great-grandchildren, Allie and Reed Pilcher, Wyatt Spaugh, and Virginia Blodinger; also surviving are her brothers, Cecil Mock (Janette) and Carey Mock (Elaine); sisters-in-law, Edna Wooten and Ruth Mock and numerous nieces and nephews.  A graveside service will be held at Sharon United Methodist Church, Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 1:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sharon United Methodist Church Cemetery Repair Fund, 5330 Sharon Church Rd. Lewisville, NC 27023.
