SCOTT Mrs. Sarah Lou Estelle Jones Scott, 85, of Winston-Salem passed away Thursday, November 3, 2011 at her home. She was born September 30, 1926 in Winston-Salem, the daughter of the late, Wiley Franklin and Margarette Helms Jones. Mrs. Scott was a long time member and avid supporter of Bethel United Methodist Church. She attended R. J. Reynolds High School, worked at Davis Department Store and retired from Hunter Publishing Company. She put the love and well being of everyone and everything before her own needs up to her last breath. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander J. Scott, Jr.; five brothers, Bill Jones, Louis Jones, Bob Jones, Richard Jones and Marshall Jones and four sisters, Margaret Jones Speas, Sue Jones McClearen, Ruth Jones Cordier and Nancy Jones Carter. Survivors include one son, Kenneth Wayne Scott of Winston-Salem; one daughter, Ann Scott Myers and husband, Keith of Winston-Salem; three granddaughters, Ashley J. Scott Pszczultkoski and husband, Kyle of Oak Island, Kimberly Myers Fox and husband, Robert of Newton and Tiffany N. Myers of Winston-Salem; two great grandsons, Camden Michael Alexander Pszczultkoski and Brady Waters Fox; three sisters-in-law, Betty Harrill (Richard, dec.) and Marlene Hickman and husband, Richard of Winston-Salem and Maxine Casper (Paul, dec.) of Salisbury; numerous nieces and nephews; three special family friends, Betty Lou Myers of Advance, Teresa Lail of Winston-Salem and Donna Spaugh of Clemmons; and her special companion, Smokey. The funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 PM at Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. David Smith officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at Mrs. Scott's home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 2350 Bethel Church Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or The Salvation Army, PO Box 1205, Winston-Salem, NC 27102.
