Sarah Joyce Wilson Kreeger

Sarah Joyce Wilson Kreeger, 86, was peacefully called home on May 7, 2015 at Presbyterian Hospital in Matthews, NC. She was born on April 5, 1929 to Paul and Jessie Wilson in Winston-Salem. Sarah was known as a woman of faith. She taught Sunday school at Waughtown Baptist Church in her earlier years and then became an active member of Lewisville Baptist Church for over 40 years. Sarah was also a dedicated employee as she worked as a secretary and then manager of Eckerd Drug Company for 30 years. Having a servant's heart, Sarah always put the needs of others before her own. She was truly one-of-a-kind. More than anything, she loved her family and served as an extraordinary role model to all. In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her brother Paul Wilson, Jr., and sister, Marjorie Motsinger. Surviving are her loving husband of 67 years, Fred Kreeger; daughter, Cindy Jacobs (Jim); grandchildren, Jennifer Laptewicz (Peter); and Amanda Brigman (Bill); great grandchildren, Sarah Kate and Benjamin Laptewicz; sister, Faye Holder, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, May 11, 2015 at Lewisville Baptist Church with Dr. George Smith and Reverend Jo Bjorling officiating. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6-8 PM at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lewisville Baptist Church, 125 Lewisville-Clemmons Rd., Lewisville, NC 27023.
