Sarah Estelle Shiflett Jones

Sarah Estelle Shiflett Jones, 95, was called to be with her heavenly Father on December 27, 2012. Estelle, the daughter of the late Robert and Delta Kivett Shiflett, was born March 20, 1917 in Huntsville, Missouri. Ms. Jones was a loving mother, who made many sacrifices for her three daughters, while living in Kansas City, Mo, where she worked at NAPA for 18 years. She later moved to Odessa, Mo, where she enjoyed being a member of the OK Kitchen Band, since then she has lived in Mesa, AZ, Arlington, TX, and Clemmons, NC. She was always ready with a joke, a smile, a shoulder to cry on and was loved by all who knew her. No words can express how greatly she will be missed and how fortunate we were to have had her with us for 95 years. She is survived by her three daughters, Bonnie Armour, Clemmons, NC; Betty Nelson and husband, Bob of Arlington, TX; and Barbara Sanders of Louisville, KY; 5 grandchildren, Brenda Herman and husband, Jerry of Clemmons, NC; Kimberly Jaska of Ross, TX; Jon Kohler and wife, Heather of Louisville, KY; Valerie Landrum and husband, Bruce of Arlington, TX; Mike Nelson and wife, Sheri of Houston, TX; 9 great-grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 5:30 PM. Friday, December 28, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel officiated by Rev. Kelly Carpenter.
