KERNERSVILLE - On November 9, 1923, a daughter was born in St. Albans, West Virginia to John Wesley Morrison Jr. and Anna Virginia Bandy Morrison. On November 26, 2014, Sarah Ann Morrison Dye passed away. Sarah was the widow of Jack Smith Dye, who passed away in 1960.
She graduated from Morganton Business College, held a Bachelors Degree from Shepherd College, an MA from West Virginia University. Sarah was a US Navy veteran of WWII and was a public school teacher, retiring in 1985 from Berkley County. She was of the Protestant Faith.
She leaves two daughters, Deborah Lynn Dye Tucker and Pamela Beth Dye Walker; three grandchildren, Michael Patrick Bean, Andrew Lee Walker, Sarah Beth Walker; and three great grandchildren, Peyton Elizabeth, Rheagan and Andrew Bean.
She is also survived by brothers, John Wesley Morrison, III and Richard Zane Morrison; and a sister Mary Blaine Sutherland.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM at The Veterans Administration Chapel in Martinsburg, W. VA on Monday, December 1, 2014 with Dr. Hinzman officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery in W. VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the chapel.
