Sarah Martha Overby Anderson

Mrs. Sarah Martha Overby Anderson, age 93, widow of Mr. Wade (Whitey) Anderson, of Pinnacle, N. C. ( formerly of Pilot Mountain, NC), died Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. She was born in Stokes County to the late Julius Martin and Wanda Lee Laws Overby. Mrs. Anderson was a homecare worker at Bennet's Rest Home, a homemaker, and a member of Closer Walk Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters: Jane Hodge and (Charles), Pinnacle, Judy Lynch and (G.T.), King, Janice Wills, Pinnacle. Two sons: Jimmy Wade Anderson, Pilot Mountain, James Ray Anderson, Pinnacle, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son: Julius Anderson, one brother: Fount Overby, one sister: Cora Overby. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday January 20, 2013 at 2:30 pm at the Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Rural Hall, NC by the Rev. Don McGee. Burial will be in the Closer Walk Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday before the services and at other times at her daughters home Jane and Charles Hodge of Pinnacle, NC.
