Sandy Bozoian

Sandra "Sandy" Buchanan Bozoian, 70, passed away at her home on Monday, February 5, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 7, 1947 to Mary Sheffield Buchanan and Alvin Woodrow Buchanan in Marion, VA and grew up in Roanoke. While attending Wake Forest University, Sandy met her best friend and soulmate, Dick Bozoian. During their time at Wake Forest, they married and welcomed their daughter, Shannon and soon after made their home in Manchester, NH. Sandy worked in real estate, enjoyed many years as the supervisor of the Adult Education program for the Manchester School District, and was an exceptional browser. Sandy was a devoted and loving grandmother, retiring to Winston-Salem, NC to be close to her grandchildren where she created countless memories that will last a lifetime.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Morris and A.W. Buchanan. Surviving are her husband, Dick Bozoian; daughter, Shannon Mihalko and son-in-law, Ryan; grandchildren, Cooper and Carson; and many treasured nieces, nephews, and an extended family of friends, who all lovingly call her "GG." Whether on the beaches of New England or Hilton Head Island, Sandy loved the sound of the ocean and sand in her flip-flops. Beautiful and brave, Sandy lived each day to its fullest and was loved by everyone she met, but no one could have loved her more than her family.

To celebrate her life, a gathering will be held in Manchester on Sunday February 11 from 2-4 pm at J.N. Boufford and Sons Funeral Home with a memorial service at 3:30 pm.
