Sandra Kay Sapp Watson

Mrs. Sandra Kay Sapp Watson passed away December 11, 2012 after an extended illness. She was born in Forsyth County on November 2, 1947 to the late Otis Sapp and Cora Lawson Sapp. She attended North Forsyth High School where she graduated with honors in 1966. Sandra was employed with Hanes Hosiery for 17 years and K&W Cafeteria for 2 years. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Stanleyville. Sandra was an avid lover of books, animals and Carolina Basketball. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a very special aunt, Alma Stokes, and her beloved dog, Sinbad. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Ray Watson of the home, her daughter, Jennifer and partner Jennifer Martin of Winston-Salem and her pets Harry and Tanner. She is also survived by a dear and special friend, Teresa Moser, who provided amazing care to her. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2012 at Bannertown Baptist Church Cemetery in Germanton with Rev. Bill Watson, Pastor Eddie Honeycutt and Pastor Terry Rausch officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service at their home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Humane Society, Feed the Children or any other charity of the donor's choice. The family would like to thank the staff of Forsyth Medical Center and the staff of Hospice for their compassionate care.
