Samuel Martin Staples Jr.

Kernersville - Samuel Martin Staples, Jr. age 70, died November, 2, 2012 at his residence. Samuel was born August 24, 1942 to the late Samuel Martin Staples, Sr. and Ruby Lee Tilley. He was self employed as a painter. He was a sports enthusiast, who loved sports history, Nascar, and bowling. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 18 yrs., Elma Sue Mounce Staples, and a brother Walter 'Bud' Staples. Surviving are; three sons, Phillip, Horace, and George Johnson, one daughter, Rebecca Jones and husband Blain all of Kernersville, three grandchildren, Jamie Johnson, Eric and Derek Jones, two great-grand children, two brothers, Harvey Staples of Winston Salem, and John Staples of Lexington, niece Robin and nephews John Jr. and Ray. A Graveside Service will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
