Mr. Samuel Linville Reich, 71, of Winston-Salem, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born May 27, 1937 in Forsyth County to John Ralph Reich and Mary Linville Reich. Most of his life he was a dairy farmer in Forsyth County and for the past 21 years he owned Church Road Trucking Company. Mr. Reich was a lifelong member of Friedberg Moravian Church. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Jackson and Martha Pfaff. Surviving are his loving wife of 49 years, Joy; his son, Philip and wife Tara; his daughters, Catherine Adams and husband Jimmy and Anna Baker and husband Henry; his grandchildren, Michael and Laura Reich, Mitchell Fraley, Elliott Lawson, Gabby and Alex Davis, Tripp and Cameron Baker; his sister, Ruth Dickerson and husband Jim, many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00AM Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Friedberg Moravian Church with Rev. G. Thomas Shelton and Rev. James C. Newsome officiating. Interment will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to his doctors and the staff of ICN Unit 3 at Forsyth Medical Center for their care and kindness.
