Samuel 'Sammy' Wayne Kimel

Our precious son, Samuel ""Sammy"" Wayne Kimel, left us all too soon to be with the Lord. Sammy was born July 19, 1999 in Forsyth Co. the son of Timothy Wayne Kimel and Sherry England Kimel. He was a rising freshman at West Stokes High School where he was so excited about playing in the upcoming football season. Sammy was the starting shortstop for the Chestnut Grove Middle School baseball team. Sammy loved the outdoors, loved to exercise and was currently playing with the 13U Clemmons Cougars Travel Baseball Team. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Mac England and his paternal grandmother, Anni Gerda Kimel. Sammy is survived by his loving parents, Tim and Sherry Kimel, a brother, Danny Kimel, his maternal grandmother, Nancy England, his paternal grandparents, Steven ""Butch"" Kimel and wife Christine, and uncle, Steve R. Kimel and wife Susan and cousins, Jesse and Bryan. Sammy is also survived by numerous extended family and friends. Funeral services for Sammy will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 1, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Stanleyville with Pastor Eddie Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 this evening Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to: Brenners Children's Hospital, Medical Center Blvd., Winston-Salem, NC 27157.
